Jr. High Trip to Swim & Skate

In an effort to promote healthy living, PDHS is providing a trip for our Jr. High students (Grades 7, 8, & 9) this Wednesday, December 20th.  Students who have already brought in their permission form will be bused to the Rath Eastlink Community Centre in Truro, ( where they will have the opportunity to both skate (helmets required) and swim.  Students are responsible to bring their own towel, skates, and helmets.  There is also a walking track as an alternative activity for students.

Busses will depart from the school at approximately 9:30 AM and will return before bus dismissal at approximately 2:50 PM.

The cost for this trip will be covered by the school; however, lunch is the responsibility of students and are to bring a bagged lunch.  The community room has been booked for students during the lunch break.

Students will be divided into two groups.  Group 1 will swim from 11:00 – 12:00 and will then skate from 1:00 – 2:00, while Group 2 will be in the opposite activity.

Wednesday is a regular school day for students and, therefore, those who choose not to participate (indicted by not submitting a permission form by the due date) are expected to be in school.  Parents/ Guardians are asked to contact the school if their child will be absent the day of the trip.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the Main office.
